How Much Do You Know or Understand About Your Local Candidates for Senate?
Attached is a political knowledge assessment. Most black people only vote in Presidential elections. But there is much more to running the government than the Executive Branch (where the President is seated). There are 2 other branches of government to ensure no one branch has absolute power. This is called Checks and Balances. Below is an old cartoon series that breaks this down very simply. It is important that you vote on 11/06/18 to create more checks and balances - no one branch of government as ALL POWER. This means if you participate in the elections of your local state representatives and senators and vote Democratic - more of them will be able to vote against Trumps legislation - either blocking or delaying his illegal policies. COLLECTIVE WE CAN ACHIEVE THIS - especially if he is re-elected. Some think the electoral college makes all decisions - they don't have any say in the congressional races, nor your local races. Even if Putin himself rigged the next presidential election, you can still effectively elect or even run for Democratic seats and become a blockaid against in Washington DC. Democrats are not without fault - but the damage the republicans are inflicting upon minorities in this country is deplorable and that is an offense far worse than any I have seen in the Democratic party. They are inhumane and they do it in the name of God - which is mockery of everything God has commanded of those who truly serve Him. Haven't you had enough? Let's remedy the current situation and then regroup 11/07/18 to start working on identifying and promoting politicians who will go get things done in office going forward for our children's future.
