What is bolitical?
A political movement that informs our people about how politics work, basic civics, and civic responsibility with the goal of reinvigorating the plight of minorities in America. Goal: Increase our visibility, voice, economic impact, and political relevancy in our country BY VOTING. Bolitical is a movement - in thought, initiative, power, action planning and implementation for the purpose of achieving results. Bolitical supports the promotion of any candidate whose agenda aligns with upholding the constitutional rights of those deemed disadvantaged.
The rise of Donald Trump has spawned a renewed sense of purpose - a proverbial awakening to the reality that the historical marching in the 60s was specifically around civil rights and equality - including the right to VOTE! That's right. Think about this... we did not have the right to vote in the country on issues that impacted our ability to live and thrive in a state of equality and vote on local, state, and federal issues, and for elected officials. We did not have a right to choose who made laws like Jim Crow. I can imagine if we could have contributed to the vote against that legislation - it would not have existed. I say contributed because we are contributors to the whole voting population of this country. This mean our votes plus their votes equaled the election of the first black president Barack Obama. Please digest this fact for a moment. Do you recall the demographic composition of the Obama supporter? It was a DIVERSE population of United States citizens devoted to change! Thus, the unification of a diverse voting constituency comprised of thought leaders and influencers who inspire and evoke action is how we were able to achieve the unthinkable. And it will be how we will do it again and again going forward. There is no room for pretentiousness, contentiousness, caste systems, class divisions, and religious differences in a Bolitical world. We have more in common than what separates us - so let's unite in the sole purpose and objective here - let' VOTE in ALL elections.
FACT: Elections to the United States Senate will be held on November 2020 Senators serve terms of six years each; the terms are staggered so that approximately one-third of the seats are up for election every two years. You have already seen what this current Senate class has allowed to happen to basic human rights and in many cases Civil rights.
Black Lives Matter a historical movement in our cultural history that Bolitical supports had one fundamental flaw: Millennials decided that they were not going to vote until black lives mattered and thought marching would resolve the issue. While it brought significant awareness to the violence perpetrated by a few unlawful officers and bad judgement in cities across the nation, the impact of the awareness fell on deaf ears. This created a feeling of apathy amongst the young intelligent crowd and fueled the ideology that not voting would solve these social issues. This is a game of numbers that young people can impact and I hope this site will help them to reconsider their political impact. Yes we can is not just a slogan, it is a possibility.
Many did not vote and people are still being gunned down, and in addition to this the empowerment we had gained through political activism and action has declined and we have experienced greater set backs and injustices are increasingly the norm. But it won't settle in for some until student loans are no longer an option. Wait for it... because all of the legislation these 6 term senators push through depending on their partisanship will impact you or those you love eventually if voter apathy persists!
A CALL TO ACTION:
To all of the powerful, fearless, passionate BLM “marchers” reinvent yourself and transform into even more powerful BLM voters! Black Votes Matter! This was the purpose of the Marches of the sixties to mobilize the black population to VOTE! Not sulk and refuse to vote until things changed in their favor. You are their legacy - WE are their legacy. Learn our history because then you will know how to truly affect change. This is what Martin Luther King did. This is what Selma was about. Go see the movie to gain some perspective. You have a responsibility to our children and your children and theirs to vote.
I promise you some politicians couldn’t care less about who they label “screaming, or violent angry mobs." We can effectively make our presence known in 1 day. Let's make black history in November 2020.
THIS needs to be the platform upon which we start renewed political resurgence that promotes our relevancy in this society. Unity and visibility in a much more powerful and meaningful matter that will produce RESULTS can be achieved by casting your votes in ALL elections (local, state, county and Federal races)!
Consider collaborating with this Bolitical movement. This is not in an effort to separate from other races, but in an effort to strategically unify and mobilize dormant Black American Citizens to embark upon a renewed sense of political responsibility. By voting in the upcoming elections, we can influence and effectively change the landscape of the House of Representatives and Congress for the next 6 years. We must vote in the right representation for the congressional races in both the House of Representatives and Senate in 2020. Bolitical activism also helps us wield collective power to promote and support candidates who will act in everyone's best interests. Politicians are public servants - not dictators. This is where many of those in power have gotten confused.
After all has been said and done - WHY WOULD YOU SIT IDLE AND JUST LET THESE THINGS HAPPEN? It's time to stand up and march right down to the polls and vote. If you don't like how things are being ran at the polls, take the day off and work the polls. Be a part of the solution. There are many ways for you to become politically active without taking too much of your time. We are all busy. Alone we can do so little, but as a group we can literally change the game! Yes YOU!
